Competitions
There are many competitions that come up throughout the school year in which we love to get our students involved. These competitions are great learning experiences for the students, however, are not required.
Current Competitions:
PBS Kids GO Writing Contest
It's a Contest held by many local PBS member stations for kids in K-3rd grade who want to write and illustrate their own stories. If your local PBS station is participating, you can submit your story to your local station for judging, and a chance to win prizes! Plus, everyone who enters gets a Certificate of Achievement. The PBS KIDS GO! Writers Contest is managed by WNED-TV, Buffalo/Toronto and participating local PBS member stations.

Young Scientist Challenge: (5th grade)
The Search for America's Next Top Young Scientist
Many of the greatest innovations of our time were first designed to solve a simple

revolutionize the way we live.
To enter the 2013 competition, students must create a 1-2 minute video describing a new innovation or solution that could solve or impact an everyday problem related to how we live, how we work or how we play. One student will win the coveted title of
"America's Top Young Scientist."
